The shop is featuring seasonal scents that take you back to the first Christmas with frankincense and myrrh, childhood memories of staring at glittering lights around a Douglas fir tree, and smelling grandma’s fruit pies at the family dinner table.
Lorie Norman, owner of For the Love of Suds, carefully mixes butters, like shea, cocoa and mango with babassu oil for moisturizing. Drops of essential oils or fragrance are added for an experience that benefits more than just skin deep.
For the Love of Suds offers skin care items for the entire family, from gentle and all-natural for babies to luxurious bath and beauty for both women and men.
“My soaps are perfect gifts because you can either make a small gift from one or two items, or you can choose from the gift baskets that are specifically packaged for the holidays,” said Norman. “It’s all useful and beautiful. Plus, it’s good for them and good for their skin.”
Norman opens her shop for the community to come in and get their hands soapy throughout the year, and especially during the holidays. She shares how to make her products in a fun and relaxed atmosphere for holidays, birthdays, showers or celebrations. She also hosts free monthly workshops from 6 to 7 p.m., every third Thursday of the month for adults and every fourth Thursday for children.
“I like teaching adults and children how to make the different items in my shop for themselves,” said Norman.
